Shirley Soon

VP Finance & Operations

Joining Greensoil in 2021, Shirley oversees the firm’s finance and operations activities, including financial reporting, fund administration, human resources, and investor relations.

Shirley has 10 years of audit and due diligence experience. Prior to joining GSPV, she was an operational due diligence (ODD) analyst at Albourne Partners based in Toronto. As a member of the ODD team, Shirley evaluated and monitored alternative investment managers and funds across various strategies, including venture capital firms. Before Albourne, she performed regulatory audits and analyzed capital positions as a financial examiner for the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada. She started her career at Deloitte, leading audit and advisory engagements within the private company services group.

Shirley has been involved with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) and their Professional Education Program since 2014. She leads workshop modules to help CPA candidates with technical knowledge and business soft skills.

Shirley received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University. She is a CPA, CA.
